I then wrote it on my mirror until I thought it was good enough to blog. This is original and by Danielle Levine

My finger etches my name and the door cries with every stroke. As the water descends my writing fogs and disappears. erasing all evidence of me and my crimes against the glass. Only to be replaced with more tears, but not from me. I cannot cause this much sadness. It's caused from the water falling from the shower head. Not satisfied with staying on the ground, drops jump onto the clear surface creating more lines of tears than the fog can erase. Until soon, I'm not looking at a clear glass door, I'm looking at lines obscuring my view of the world on the other side.
In an earlier post I wrote that it's so easy to be happy, but today I realized that I was not happy. I was just hiding my unhappiness. Through words and smiles you can fool anyone and soon you will be able to fool yourself, if only far a little while. But soon something will knock you back down again and you will realize that you weren't happy about anything in particular you were just putting on a mask. All the things that made you sad to begin with are still there, just piling up. I haven't been happy for the longest time. The happy that lasts. The happy that allows you to wake up and look forward to the day. They say that it gets better, but the world stays the same. It's a world that bullies for differences, that destroys lives through killing dreams and telling you no. Sometimes I think that there is so much more to be unhappy about than there is to make you happy again.
Happiness seems like it is unobtainable at times, but it's easier to do then you might think. Real happiness can make your whole body smile. Laugh for no reason. Have someone tell you a corny joke that you have heard so many times before that, but if you are happy, the real happy that makes you feel giddy and bubbly, you'll laugh like it's the funniest thing in the world. You should never feel guilty for being happy and it's the greatest gift to have to be able to make the people around you really smile and be happy. I strive to be happy every day so that I can live my life to the fullest.
This movie is almost the Asian Hunger Games. It's about a class of students who are told to kill each other within three days and only one can survive. This is a similar plot line to The Hunger Games, but whenever I think about this movie my stomach starts to turn. In the series by Susan Collins, the tributes have lived with this barbaric tradition all their lives. They know the essence of what is going to happen in the arena and can prepare themselves mentally, but in Battle Royale, the students can't believe that something like this could really be happening to them. Some of them commit suicide, some of them start killing like mad men, some try not to kill, and some are just trying to find someone they trust. This disturbed me because these kids had grown up together. They had probably been in the same schools as each other for as long as they can remember, but they quickly resort to killing for self preservation. The worst part about it was that I started to wonder who I would be. Would I be the hunter or the prey?
I sleep in one and the other is just sitting there, lonely. One day I thought to myself that it would be a great idea to rut these two twin beds together and make one fantastic king size bed. I told my parents about this brilliant idea and they said maybe, which is parent speak for no. Thankfully, I didn't know this at the time, so I kept on persisting and finally they said yes. After two years of waiting yesterday I got my new comforter. I jumped onto the smooth surface and bounced as my belly fell onto the mattress covered by the beautiful tree pattern. I nuzzled my nose into the soft fabric that smelled like a far off place. The bed wrinkled as I lied there, blissfully grateful to my parents.
It has everything, good food, beautiful snow, decorations, and songs. My birthday is also in December. December is usually the first month to have snow. Snow is marvelous. It glides down to the ground and if there is enough, eventually a layer of snow collects, just big enough to make snowballs. This delicate snow also can form on trees. Trees were dreary because they had lost all of their leaves, but when the soft white blanket of snow covers all the plants, it is transformed into a wonderland. December is the holiday season. It has Hanukkah and Christmas. In my neighborhood, there are extravagant lights on most of the houses. I find these lights entertaining and awesome. December is the most wonderful time of the year
A friend and I decided to bake and I really wanted cinnamon muffins so we took a recipe from online and started to cut the apples. I should have known that this wasn't going to work from the very start. We didn't have all the ingredients for the recipe so we had to call her house and we didn't have all the utensils needed to prepare those items. it wasn't working for us from the beginning. On the website it said that these were the amounts for a dozen muffins so we doubled everything. We put the chopped up apples into the mixer and realized that there was more apple than batter. Besides all of these hurdles we still tried to put the batter in the muffin cups, but there was too much so we filled it to the top. This was an AWFUL idea. We left the kitchen for a little bit to listen to some music, but when we came back, the oven was smoking and it smelled awful. We quickly took the muffins out and discovered what was burning. Some of the batter had overflowed and started to burn on the bottom and there was a layer of burnt muffin on the pan. Fortunately, the muffins still tasted pretty good. Unfortunately, the oven was ruined.
This is amazing because I live in the Midwest which is cold and rainy this time of the year. We left for the airport in our car and realized too late that that was not a good idea. Traffic was horrible. It was bumper to bumper traffic as far as the eye could see. It was taking us 15 minutes to get onto the freeway itself so my sister decided she wanted to cut across the no-man's land between the entrance ramp and the freeway. we assimilated into the stationary traffic and prayed that we could get to the airport on time. The car started to bump around as we slowly made our way to our destination. A woman in the car next to us tried to get our attention and point at our wheel. My dad opened the door to find that there was a flat tire. We had to pull over and change the tire in the freezing cold. The only solace I found was that we still made our flight.
Not only are there different alphabets for different cultures, but there are also different sentence structures, words and punctuation that can fit together or collapse under its own weight. People can write because they love it or because it is mandatory, but the rules are never the same. Breaking the rules is either revolutionary or taboo, but once in a while there comes a quote that doesn't need rules. These quotes build people up from dark places and can beautifully connect to anybody in any situation. Books strive to entice readers with fancy covers and ridiculous plot lines, but the most meaningful quotes and style can come from simple books about loss, happiness or a little fish that swam too far from home and who's father chases him around the world. These are the quotes that should always be kept close, whether they be depressingly deep or simply funny. Quotes connect worlds, time and, most importantly, people. All you need to do is start noticing them.Daniellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16878047450333334589noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5511044262232685057.post-83778684634475750932011-09-15T10:23:00.001-07:002011-09-15T10:23:50.065-07:00Test Post
TESTING
Daniellehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16878047450333334589noreply@blogger.com0
